OMG OMG OMG OMG , i can'tbelieve what i did yesterday .i was in london since monday and was with my cosuins . anyway on thursday priya came down from birmingham and jordan's cosuins ( selina and sahil ) came aswell. anyway we went madame tussuads and then sarbjit priya and I went into the " big borther diary room " . anyway we had to do some taskes. first of all pretend we were dancin on the moon. nd the ppl said we failed the task ! :( anywyay then we had to pretend we were catwalk models nd me nd priya endin up laughin. and last of all we had to have a slow fight . between the challenges , i shouted out rood end rocks and hey celetia !!!! nd then tyo top it all off we bought the dvd and when i got home my damily and i watched it nd we all bvurst out laughing. actually i was the only one who really went in for it and i was really happy that i did it . it is a memory i will never forget .

P.S if u read this celetia take it granted that i said ur name !!!

You could reserach the internet about Man Utd players from the past & present & then make your own book of information about the ones you like the best. You could draw pictures, list football facts etc. What do you think? Mrs O'B :) P.s I wouldn't say annihilated, Jordan, because if they had the score would have been higher than 1-0 to Man U. Birmingham played a good defence & I know that Celetia would agree with me. Man U usually score more goals than that with most teams & just think, Birmingham have only just got back into the premiership!!!

It's exciting doing new things but can feel strange too, I know. After a few weeks at secondary school, it'll feel different - hopefully familiar & normal! I'm good, thank you. And you'll be moaning when you are back at school in September, having to get up early, do homework etc!!! Why don't you create a memories book of your time at Rood End so far & write about your favourite times and illustrate with pictures too. Hi Lauren! Mrs Hudson & I went to Birmingham to do some shopping - we had fun (of course!) and we both bought things for our holidays. I was in school today tidying up my office & my new classroom. I still have lots to do. For some reason, I have a substantial amount of coloured pencils to sharpen as it would be a waste to throw them away. I am resting tomorrow & Thursday as don't feel too well. I am hoping to go back in2 school on Friday though to do some more tidying. I am off to Dublin next Tuesday for 5 days which I'm looking forward to. Mrs Hudson jetted off on her holiday so will see her when she gets back! I'm missin rood end so much + yr6 I cryed so much at the leavin assembly. I feel guilty now that I never said my memory. I feel like crying now. Another favourite memory was when Mr W. took his shoes off to go on Maelstrom and when he came off me and Mrs hudson hid his socks!

Gosh, lots of questions Nishat. I will try to answer tehm all for you. First, we are all o.k - thank you for asking. Year 6 worked extremely hard for their SATs & during the tests (just like last year) however we won't know the results until early July as we have to wait for the markers to mark all the tests and send them back to school. Year 6 will be performing, 'Bugsy Malone' this year. Do you know the story, Nishat? I appreciate your thanks, Nishat. It's always great to receive a thank you and we helped you so you could achieve your very best which you did, Nishat! I'm really missing the school, all the teachers and my friends. I've made some really good friends at BHTC and school is alright but it can be boring sometimes. Oh, and I forgot to tell you that my dad and my step-mom got married in the 6 weeks holidays just after we left school, and I was a brides maid, with my sisters, my step-sister (Yazmine), my step-moms two best friends, and one of her best friends daughters. My three step-brothers were page-boys, their names are Reiss, Reegan and Harvey. Then we went to Drayton Manor after for being good at the wedding with my step-cousin, Shanna.

i really enjoyed today because it was our first day back after the half term.In the hoilday i went to the NIA and did some running(on the track). they put me in the under 13`s but i was ment to be in the under 11`s. i did the highlands steps and a 3*2 1/2 race (500m) i came second to last because everyone an the other teams were 2years older then me. i was really scared at first but when i went past where i train i knew they were supporting me. on the home straight i spirted across the finsh line. it loosk easy but when you do it, it is really hard doing 500m in a row

I was at Rood End from 1953 to 1956 , leaving when I was 7.
Mr Reynolds was headmaster and I remember Mr Molyneux.
In those days most of the A stream would go to grammar school , and aslo a lot from the B's and C's.
In the three years I left Rood End I felt I learned nothing and subsequently missed going to the grammar school.
Are there and old registers on-line ?
Is it possible to tour the school ?
I pass the school quite often now and would love to pop in sometime.
The schhol looks exactly the same from the outside. I remember the new toilet block being built in the mid-fifties.

Sorry to hear that things are difficult at school at the moment & I can sympathise with you that it might not be all your fault as I still do remember what it was like at secondary school. However, it sometimes is worth it to 'bite your tongue' as it'll be a useful skill for when you are older as you can't always share your opinion - no matter how strongly you feel about something. The thing i like the best being in year 8 is probably not being the youngest lol cause wen ur in year 7 you feel scared and small hehe but not in year 8 . Hi good site like it so far i am so sad to be leavin glebes cause i can not do my singing infact i don't really want to carry on with it anyway how are u doin Mrs O'boyle i hope u r ok. I am glad of my sats results 2 5s and a 4. i do hope i see u again why do u have to leave prim sch. Can't wait till alex now but this year has gone so fast i was only just getting used to miss bodin and miss pearce. My mom and dad sez thanks and they wish u all the luk at your new sch. We have named her ruby and she is so cute and tiny. She crys a lot but never wakes me up in the midle of thr night well she sometimes does. I feed her change her hold her all the time and things like that. I love her tio bits and me and my mom are talking bout spoiling her in the futuer taking her shopping and everywhere. I am getting ready for my key stage 2 S.A.T's and it will be very sad to leave the school that I came to and learnt everything in english, maths and science. It will also be upsetting to leave all my friends as they will go to a different high school. I was at Rood End between September 1951, and October 1956. Miss Grice was the Headmistress of the Infants and Mr Reynolds was Headmaster of the Juniors. I remember Miss Colclough, (she was there when my father was a pupil there, around 1925-27). Now I'm a mature student at university, reading IT/Media Studies.

I was at the school 1940-1945 and remember that Mr Key was headmaster. Teachers were Miss French, Ballard, Nash, Edwards, Ball, Carclough. Would appreciate any information on Miss Nash who taught the penultimate year.

Hi, I started infant school at Rood End in 1967 age 4 and can still remember it clearly. We were very lucky to attend Rood End and I had a lovely time there. I have fond memories of Mr Field who was my form teacher and taught both me and my brother and sisters. Sounds as though everyone still enjoys being there!
